On-Call Design Services

On-Call Design Services are an Antinozzi Associates specialty. The “On-Call” method requires speed, creativity, and efficiency via immediate team response and situation management. Principal-led on-call project teams assure that Antinozzi Associates delivers consistent on-time and on-budget results for our clients.

When a client hires an on-call architect, they benefit from the value of regular, efficient project management and design expertise as well as a long-term relationship with that architect who becomes a resource – providing a range of support from routine preventative maintenance to complex capital improvement solutions.

Many of our recent on-call projects have included infrastructure upgrades, ADA/code updates, retrofit/adaptive reuse, historic preservation, roof/window replacements, and various other capital improvements. These On-Call clients consist of Municipal serving Cities/Towns and their K-12 Facilities, Universities and Public/Private Housing Authorities.

State public housing is unique in Connecticut since it is only one of four states in the country that has a separate state housing department with a locally managed real estate portfolio by Public Housing Authorities. The other states are Massachusetts, New York, and Hawaii. Connecticut has both federal and state housing portfolios. A Public Housing Authority collaborates with property owners and subsidizes the rent by paying with restrictions a Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) to the property owner on behalf of the tenant.

TESTIMONIALS

“As the staff liaison for the Killingly Permanent Building Commission, I have been working with Antinozzi on a renovate-as-new with addition project for one of our elementary schools (grades 2, 3, and 4). They and their entire subconsultant team have been knowledgeable, hardworking, detail-oriented, budget-conscious, helpful, and present. Antinozzi listens to the client’s wants and needs; they do not force their “expert” opinions on the client.”

-Mary E. Bromm, Community Development Administrator and Liaison to the Permanent Building Commission, Town of Killingly

“Throughout the 46 years of our existence, we have had the good fortune of being involved in residential, industrial, commercial, institutional and mixed-use buildings and developments. Therefore, we feel privileged to have worked with architects, engineers, designers and planners ranging from some of the country’s largest firms to one person shops.

Without hesitation, we at Kuchma Corporation consider Antinozzi Associates to be an absolute top of the list firm. We have worked with them on many projects during the past 35 years and, no matter how large or small the size of the requirement, their principals and staff have treated us as though we are their most important client and they service us as though we are their only concern. Antinozzi Associates has completed projects with us that include commercial renovations, additions, gut rehabs and ground-up new construction for use as banks, offices, schools, retail, restaurant and multi-family residential buildings ranging in value from $50,000 to $ 236,000,000.”

“We worked with Paul Lisi of Antinozzi Associates on a now completed $800,000 HUD small cities grant project in 2015-2016, to do renovations to existing multi-family housing. From bid specs to punch list items, Paul was engaged and available to oversee the project to a satisfactory conclusion. We are now working with them on a $3.5 million dollar state project which is currently underway in pre-construction to continue major renovations to several of our other properties. We have been very satisfied with the work and the support services provided by Antinozzi and Associates and I highly recommend them.”

“The Stratford Housing Authority has worked with Antinozzi Associates on many projects. In fact, the Authority has used them virtually exclusively since 1981. Antinozzi Associates has designed a host of projects for us, including the design and construction of two elderly rental developments, major interior and exterior renovations, any minor design work we needed, as well as our current office building.

When the Authority received stimulus money from the federal government and had to make sure the design was expedited and the work completed on a short time schedule, Antinozzi Associates was our natural choice. Antinozzi is also great to work with when you have budget concerns or need work done in a hurry. Their client service is exceptional. As a recent example, the Authority called on Antinozzi to perform a Capital Needs Assessment in conjunction with a State of Connecticut rehab application. We were given a very short deadline and Antinozzi completed the required work very quickly, allowing the Authority to submit its application on time.”

-Elizabeth Sulik, Executive Director, Stratford Housing Authority

“We have worked with Antinozzi Associates regularly and currently utilize them for ongoing design needs. These projects included a new athletic field, parking lot improvements, new administrative offices, and a new learning commons in the Main Library (Wahlstrom Hall). Other services include HVAC and window renovations, window replacements, and extensive infrastructure repairs, and numerous fire alarm/life safety upgrades throughout the campus. They completed an addition with a new front entry and canopy for the School of Business as well as a new four-story residence hall.

We find their professionalism and responsiveness refreshing.”
